All Things Halloween

Dear Parents,

What a beautiful and exciting time of year! Our Halloween parade and Fall Festivities will take place on Thursday, October 31st utilizing a staggered schedule. Please see the parade schedule below:

  • Our grades 3-5 parade will start at 9:30am

  • Our grades K-2 parade will start at 10:15am

On Thursday, October 31st, students are invited to attend school dressed in their costumes for the day. If your child chooses to dress-up, please ensure that the costume is appropriate for school and can be worn comfortably all day.

Costumes of a violent nature of any kind will not be permitted. Weapons of any kind including toy guns, knives, handcuffs, light sabers, and swords will not be permitted. For the safety of everyone, students will not be permitted to wear a mask covering their eyes and/or impairing vision. School staff reserves the right to call the parent and ask that another costume be brought to school in the event a costume is deemed inappropriate for elementary age children.

All Knollwood families are invited to attend our Halloween parade. Weather permitting, our parade will take place as students march around the perimeter of the blacktop area. Spectators are encouraged to choose a viewing spot on the areas surrounding our blacktop. Spectators must remain behind the parade route markers and off school walkways in order to keep the parade route clear for students and staff. In the event of inclement weather, a decision will be communicated as soon as possible that day.

Fall festivities will be held in the classrooms that day as class parents will work with the teachers to plan a class craft/activity. Due to allergies, parents should not send in any additional treats or favor bags for classmates. Please send your child in with a Halloween treat of their own placed in a paper bag for their own consumption during their classroom celebration.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation in making our Fall Festivities a memorable and safe experience! Happy Halloween!

Sincerely,

Mr. Steven Linzenbold

Principal
