Week of Respect

During the first week of October, the staff and students at Knollwood will be celebrating the Week of Respect! This important week is recognized by schools across the state of New Jersey. Our school will be observing this special week by teaching how to show respect to others, our school, our community, and ourselves. The Week of Respect is also when students learn about bullying and ways to prevent harassment, intimidation, and bullying situations.

To spread this theme of respect and anti-bullying, we will be hosting a Week of Respect Bookmark Design Challenge! This is a wonderful opportunity for students to express their creativity while sharing this important positive message with our school community!

How to Participate:

  • Any student wanting to participate can visit Mrs. Brewer's office to pick up a blank bookmark template.

  • Students should decorate their bookmark with a message of respect, inclusion, or friendship. They can also incorporate anti-bullying themes! Students should use only PENCIL to create their designs!

  • Completed bookmarks should be returned to Mrs. Brewer by Thursday, October 9th.

We will continue to promote respect, kindness, and acceptance through age-appropriate lessons and announcements throughout the month of October.
